KAJETANOWICZ TO USE ERC EXPERIENCE FOR NEXT BIG CHALLENGE

Kajetan Kajetanowicz will use all the experience he gained winning the FIA European Rally Championship for a record three seasons running when he steps up to the world championship on Rally Italia Sardegna next month. BRYNILDSEN TARGETS ERC ACROPOLIS PODIUM

Eyvind Brynildsen wants to be in the lead battle when the FIA European Rally Championship resumes on the EKO Acropolis Rally from 1-3 June. Catie Munnings produced arguably her best performance so far in the FIA ERC Junior Under 27 Championship with a succession of fast times on the final day of Rally Islas Canarias. BEST BREAKFAST KEY TO SESKS’ ERC PACE ON TARMAC DEBUT

Mārtiņš Sesks belied his absence of asphalt experience to come within 10 seconds of FIA ERC Junior Under 27 Championship victory on Rally Islas Canarias. Sesks had never competed on Tarmac before his trip to Gran Canaria but shrugged off that potential handicap to finish runner-up to Diogo Gago by 8.9s following an intense fight for class honours in his Opel ADAM R2. Click for full story.

DESIGN STUDENTS ENJOY ERC VISIT

Two students from a communication school in Paris were rewarded for their work on a logo design concept with a trip to the second round of the FIA European Rally Championship earlier this month. Constance Raillard and Anissa Abbar won a competition to design a logo for an internal project at Eurosport Events, the ERC promoter. Click for full story.

LATE DRAMA DENIES HERCZIG MORE ERC POINTS

Norbert Herczig has revealed how a puncture in the closing stages of Rally Islas Canarias cost him a seemingly certain second consecutive points finish in the FIA European Rally Championship. The MOL Racing Team driver was heading for eighth place on his Rally Islas Canarias debut when a puncture on stage 13 dropped him back to an eventual P11 at the finish in Las Palmas. Click for full story.
