EKO Acropolis Rally Greece: Škoda crew Robert Virves/Aleks Lesk finishes with the same time as the WRC2 winners

  • At the FIA World Rally Championship’s eleventh round, RaceSeven’s Robert Virves/Aleks Lesk finish ex aequo with the WRC2 winners
  • After fifth consecutive WRC Masters Cup victory, Škoda Fabia RS Rally2 driver Armin Kremer has the title in firmly his sights
  • Seven Škoda crews finish inside the WRC2 top 10

Lamia (GRC), 8 September 2024 – What a thriller: Robert Virves and co-driver Aleks Lesk (Škoda Fabia RS Rally2) finished the EKO Acropolis Rally Greece (5-8 September 2024) with the same times as Sami Pajari/Enni Mälkönen. According to the regulations, Virves/Lesk had to be content with second position in WRC2.

Estonians Robert Virves/Aleks Lesk (Škoda Fabia RS Rally2 of team RaceSeven) finished the rally second in WRC2 only due to the result of stage 1.

With great consistency, Kajetan Kajetanowicz/Maciej Szczepaniak brought the Škoda Fabia RS Rally2 of team RaceSeven home in fourth position in WRC2.

Fabrizio Zaldivar/Marcelo Der Ohannesian (Škoda Fabia RS Rally2 of team RaceSeven) took the points for fifth position in WRC2.

Motorsport Ireland backed Josh McErlean/James Fulton (Škoda Fabia RS Rally2 of team Toksport WRT) advanced to sixth position WRC2 during the final leg.

Armin Kremer, co-driven in the Baumschlager Rallye & Racing run Škoda Fabia RS Rally2 by daughter Ella Kremer, won the WRC Masters Cup classification. With a 37 points lead, Kremer can no longer be caught up in the overall standings.
