WRC PROMOTER ADDS SPANISH COMMENTARY TO WRC LIVE BROADCASTS

WRC Promoter adds Spanish commentary to WRC+ All Live broadcasts

  • WRC+ All Live launches Spanish language version for 2019
  • Live commentary from every special stage of every round
  • Experienced motorsport commentators lead new feature
  • Special 20 per cent discount promotion until 31 January 2019

Munich, 17 January 2019 – The pioneering WRC+ All Live television coverage of the FIA World Rally Championship will become bilingual this season with the addition of a Spanish language version.

An experienced team of rally specialists will provide live Spanish commentary of the dramatic action from every special stage at all 14 rounds of the expanded 2019 series.

The move follows the addition of COPEC Rally Chile to the calendar, increasing the number of rounds in Spanish-speaking countries to four.

WRC Promoter launched its ground-breaking WRC+ All Live 12 months ago. The online video service offers more than 25 hours of thrilling live and on-demand action from each round and has transformed the way the sport is broadcast.

Fans enjoyed unprecedented live coverage of every special stage in 2018 in an English stream available on www.wrcplus.com.

“The WRC visits four Spanish language countries this year, in Mexico, Argentina, Chile and Spain, and our fan base of Spanish speakers accounts for a significant proportion of WRC+ All Live followers,” said Ciesla.

“After a fantastic inaugural season, we’ve responded to the requests of our Spanish fans in Europe and Latin America by adding a second language to WRC+ All Live so they can enjoy the thrills and spills of the WRC in their native tongue.”

The commentary team features three experienced TV broadcasters from Spain, José-Manuel González, Àlex Garcia and Santi Torres. All have extensive motorsport backgrounds.

The Spanish broadcasts will begin at next week’s prestigious season-opening Rallye Monte-Carlo (24 – 27 January).

To celebrate the launch of the 2019 season, new Spanish-speaking subscribers to WRC+ All Live can benefit from a special promotion that offers 20 per cent off the annual subscription charge. Visit www.wrcplus.com for more details.
